Actual educación is based on subjects such as Maths, Literature, History, Language, etc. Bit how many of them will help us develop important skills for our future lives ? Although it teaches useful información, there are other ways school's can help students obtain life skills.
On the one hand, schools could encourage more competitive sports. They will help students to hace a goal, and to show them that you won't always win. Others advantages are that they will learn how to perform within time limits, how to succeed under stressful situations and be able to perform under the gaze of others. And preparing them for future jobs.
On the other hand being too competitive could be negative too. For example, making children think that they need to win always is not good for their minds and also health. They start to over demand themselves, and that, can cause stress or other illnesses.
In addition, another way of cultivating helpful skills is introducing home making and parenting classes. They will prepare students the day they have a family. show them how difficult is being a parent and take care of their children, home, etc.
In conclusion, in my opinion both suggestions are worth giving a try they are really useful and will help students with their future.
